for those of you who enjoy her novels and short stories, one of her early inspirations was apparently 'Are You My Mother?' by PD Eastman. To quote: a mixture of surreal humour, emotional trauma and elegant prose it quite clearly prefigures everything in her (AL) career
Has anyone read it? I love some of AL Kennedy's short stories, totally feed my feminist streak, but was less impressed with her novels.
