Lynda informs me that it's World Book Day this week, 3rd March in the UK.
Had a quick look on the web - http://www.worldbookday.com/ and its main aim is to develop and aid children's access to books and reading. This might interest some of you Grannies out there, and lots of stuff for kids on the site, but for the rest of us there are also one or two links for oldies. This one for 'Quick Reads' sounds interesting - http://www.quickreads.org.uk/
To mark this occasion can I ask everybody to post their favourite 'read' from last year, the book you found difficult to put down.
