What a great title! to match a great read. A lovely story - read it. Set in a fictional midlands town it tells a heartbreaking story of the inhibiting blindness of religious observance when taken to extremes. Beautiful language and imagery, almost melodic in tempo. Alignment with gods and with nature adds further layers of intensity.
